political inaccuracy in plymouth's plantation

the plantation itself is remarkably hilarious. reenactors are split into two camps: pilgrims and native americans. realize that it's the job of these people (actors?) to emulate 17th century personalties with precision (e.g. on the plantation, each word that really has a silent "k" (e.g. knob) must instead be pronounced with a hard "k").

and the native americans just seem really pissed.

it's easy to find a reenactor that's totally pained by his job. you can tell just by the look on his face. and yes, i'm using a masculine tag of possession: "his." this is because the males look most afflicted (not a sexist remark).

once, while traversing the plantation, my friends found one of these emotionally wounded pilgrims. they asked him if he could please demonstrate the proper way to brandish and/or wield a "ka-nife." and much to wampanoag chagrin, they uttered such a request within earshot of the tepees.
